experience design + strategy

b. 1986, HK.

good design = good decisions.

As the child of a computer scientist and an artist, I balance my love for rigorous models and well-engineered systems with a reverence for what instinctively feels good.

I think good design emerges from the tension of the two. I also think good design is the result of good decisions. Over the years, I've endeavored to make good decisions on a variety of B2B and B2C projects in agency, corporate, freelance and startup environments. Recent projects I've led or collaborated on include: software and service products, marketing and communications websites, interactive design systems, organizational change blueprints, and physical experiences for the likes of IBM, Google, Slack, Samsung and Lowe's. When I'm not compulsively saving scraps of inspiration to Pinterest, I can be found traveling, reading essays by misanthropic polemicists, or pretending not to read my horoscope.
